Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stressed that Iran will continue resisting sanctions, pressure and hostile attempts to destabilize the country, saying the government will find new ways to serve the public despite external restrictions.
Speaking at the 11th International Conference of Mujahideen in Exile at the University of Tehran on Monday, President Pezeshkian said Iran’s security and stability were rooted in the strategic guidance of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the resilience of the Iranian people.
The president said hostile powers had expected pressure and insecurity to push Iran toward shortages, looting and social collapse. However, he argued that their calculations, based on artificial intelligence data, intelligence networks, hired elements and domestic agents, had failed.
He said the Iranian people had mobilized in response to threats and created a strong barrier against hostile plots.
Recalling the public farewell ceremony for Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, President Pezeshkian said he had emphasized that the martyred Leader’s path would continue and that Iran should pursue it through unity, strength, cohesion and coordination.
He also praised the Iranian public’s participation during the 12-day and 40-day wars, saying their sustained support for the country represented a major national asset.
President Pezeshkian stressed that Iran would not bow to aggression, oppression or bullying. If the enemies have closed all the paths, with God’s help the Iranian nation will open new ones, he said, emphasizing the government’s efforts to address domestic problems.
He also highlighted the performance of government officials during recent conflicts, particularly in maintaining essential services despite attacks on infrastructure, including electricity and energy facilities. According to President Pezeshkian, the uninterrupted provision of essential services reflected the tireless efforts of dedicated officials working behind the scenes.
He said a society based on cooperation, solidarity and openness to different ideas would ultimately prevail, adding that these qualities had contributed to Iran’s resilience during recent conflicts.
The conference also featured remarks by Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, a senior adviser to the martyred Leader, who discussed the martyred Leader’s intellectual and political qualities and called for continued attention to his strategic approach.
At the conclusion of the event, President Pezeshkian honored seven individuals recognized as mujahideen (freedom fighters) in exile, including a school principal from Minab, a cleric, an artist, a University of Tehran faculty member, a religious service volunteer, a religious vocalist and a representative of student religious groups.
