Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has congratulated the country's national physics Olympiad team on its outstanding performance at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2026) in Colombia, describing the achievement as a testament to the scientific excellence, talent, and determination of Iranian students.
In a message released on Sunday, President Pezeshkian praised the team for winning three gold medals, two silver medals, and securing first place in the experimental section of the prestigious international competition.
The president said the accomplishment had added another proud chapter to Iran’s scientific achievements and reflected the remarkable abilities and perseverance of the country's young generation.
He extended his congratulations to the students, their families, dedicated teachers, and the broader scientific community, emphasizing that building a brighter future requires greater investment in human capital, high-quality education, and equal opportunities for talented young people to develop their potential.
