Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has extended his condolences to the government and people of Venezuela following a devastating earthquake that caused numerous casualties and widespread damage, while reaffirming Iran’s readiness to provide humanitarian support.
In a message addressed to Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodriguez on Thursday, President Pezeshkian expressed deep sympathy over the loss of life and injuries suffered by many Venezuelan citizens as a result of the recent earthquake.
The Iranian president conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and stressed that Iran stands alongside Venezuela during this difficult time. He also announced the Islamic Republic’s preparedness to offer emergency relief, medical assistance, and humanitarian aid to help ease the suffering of those affected and support ongoing rescue and recovery efforts.
Pezeshkian described the earthquake as a tragic event that had inflicted significant human and material losses in several regions of the friendly Latin American nation.
