Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has commended the Armed Forces, particularly the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, for demonstrating high operational readiness and defensive capability in confronting aggressions by the United States and the Israeli regime.
During a meeting with Commander of the Iranian Army Major General Amir Hatami, the president expressed appreciation for the courage, dedication and performance of the country’s armed forces in responding to recent threats and attacks.
President Pezeshkian said the decisive, intelligent and deterrent responses delivered by Iranian forces prevented adversaries from achieving their objectives against the nation.
He described the Iranian Army’s role in safeguarding national security, protecting the country’s territorial integrity and strengthening deterrence as strategic and decisive.
According to the president, the Armed Forces, particularly the committed, popular and revolutionary army, demonstrated the country’s defensive power through strong operational readiness, intelligence awareness, coordinated command and effective combat capability.
President Pezeshkian emphasized that strengthening national defense remains a priority for his administration.
The administration stands fully alongside the Armed Forces and will support strategic programs aimed at enhancing defense capabilities, he said, referring to efforts including logistical backing, modernization of equipment, development of operational infrastructure and expansion of deterrence capacity.
The president also stressed the importance of coordination between government institutions and the military amid sensitive regional conditions, noting that national unity and the strength of the Armed Forces are the main pillars of the country’s security and stability.
During the meeting, Major General Hatami presented a report on the Army’s latest operational status and defensive missions, including measures taken to counter hostile activities. He outlined several operations carried out in response to aggressions and highlighted the readiness of military units across various operational domains.
Hatami also described efforts to restore and enhance combat readiness during the ceasefire period, saying the Army has strengthened coordination, updated operational capabilities and integrated field experience to maintain full preparedness.
He added that military personnel remain committed to defending Iran’s security, independence and territorial integrity.
