Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has congratulated the government and people of South Africa on the anniversary of the African country’s Freedom Day.
In a message addressed to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, President Pezeshkian extended his congratulations on April 27, marking the anniversary of South Africa’s liberation and the establishment of democratic governance in the country.
The Iranian president expressed hope that through joint efforts, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of South Africa will continue moving toward a world free from discrimination, war, colonialism, and hegemony.
President Pezeshkian also thanked the government and people of South Africa for expressing solidarity with the Iranian nation in the aftermath of the aggression imposed by the United States and the Israeli regime.
