Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has extended congratulations to Denis Sassou Nguesso on his re election as President of the Republic of Congo.
In his message on Monday, President Pezeshkian expressed hope that, during Sassou Nguesso’s new term in office, the friendly relations between Iran and Congo will continue to grow.
He emphasized the potential for expanding cooperation across political, economic and cultural sectors, noting that both countries have longstanding ties that can be further strengthened.
The Iranian president also conveyed his best wishes to the Congolese president, praying for his health and success in the responsibilities ahead. He additionally wished prosperity and well being for the people of Congo.
