Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has extended his congratulations on the arrival of Nowruz (Persian New Year) to the heads of state across the broader Nowruz civilizational sphere, calling the ancient festival a shared cultural heritage that inspires renewal, reconciliation and deeper friendship among nations.

In his message, President Pezeshkian described Nowruz as a long standing tradition celebrated across vast regions of the world, one that encourages the renewal of thoughts, the removal of rancor, and the strengthening of kindness and friendship.

He said the cultural ties among Nowruz celebrating nations form an enduring bridge connecting their peoples.

President Pezeshkian noted that over the past year, the Iranian nation had twice come under unlawful military attack and emphasized that, in the days leading up to Nowruz, Iran continued to witness blatant crimes, the killing of civilians and children, and the bombing of hospitals, cultural sites and historical monuments.

Despite this, he said, the people of Iran have defended their independence, national sovereignty and ancient homeland with remarkable steadfastness and courage.

The president urged friendly, brotherly and Muslim governments not to remain indifferent in the face of historical injustice and ongoing violations against Iran. He appealed for greater awareness and solidarity among regional partners in response to these developments.

The Iranian president expressed hope that with the arrival of spring and the new year, humanity would draw upon divine and humanistic values to advance peace, friendship and tranquility across the world, and to help eliminate injustice and inequality globally.
