Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon has extended Nowruz greetings to his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian, congratulating the government and people of Iran on the arrival of the ancient spring festival.
In his message, President Rahmon described Nowruz as a global celebration of renewal and the rebirth of nature, noting that people across the broader Nowruz civilization space mark the festival with inspiration, joy, and fresh hopes for a better future.
He said the holiday, with its deep national, cultural, and historical roots, has for thousands of years promoted peace, harmony, mutual understanding, trust, and respect among communities.
Wishing the Iranian nation peace, stability, progress, and prosperity in the New Year, the Tajik president emphasized that the friendly relations and cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran will continue to grow.
He voiced confidence that the spirit of this ancient festival will further strengthen bilateral ties and bring new practical momentum to cooperation between the two nations.
