Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has congratulated the Iranian government and people on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and the Nowruz holidays in a message to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
In his message, Tokayev described Eid al-Fitr as a major celebration for the Muslim world and expressed hope that the blessed days, symbolizing kindness, humanity and high spiritual values, would bring peace to the Islamic world and strengthen solidarity among brotherly nations.
The Kazakh president also voiced concern over the rapidly escalating situation in the region, saying the developments have created serious worries and placed Iran and other Muslim countries before a difficult test. He noted that important facilities supporting the peaceful lives of innocent people had been damaged.
Tokayev expressed confidence that Iran would overcome the difficult period through patience, wisdom, unity and solidarity. He emphasized that preventing further escalation and resolving the situation through diplomatic means are of particular importance, adding that Kazakhstan supports such initiatives and is ready to contribute to them.
The Kazakh president also highlighted his country’s interest in expanding traditional friendly relations with Iran based on mutual understanding and in line with the interests of both nations.
He wished that the spiritual blessings of Eid al-Fitr and the freshness of Nowruz would bring success to President Pezeshkian in his responsibilities and bring peace, stability and prosperity to Iran.
