Acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan Hasan Akhund has extended his condolences to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian regarding the martyrdom of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
In a formal letter on Thursday, the Afghan official deeply mourned the loss of the Supreme Leader and other compatriots who fell victim to the recent aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime.
He emphasized Afghanistan’s unwavering confidence in the resilience of the Iranian nation.
Afghanistan is convinced that the great people of Iran, relying on their spirit of resistance and national unity, will triumphantly overcome this difficult chapter, Akhund emphasized.
