Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has expressed his heartfelt condolences following the martyrdom of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
In a message addressed to his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian, President Mirziyoyev conveyed his profound sorrow over the passing of Ayatollah Khamenei.
The president stated that the distressing news of the passing of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and members of his family has deeply saddened hearts of the Uzbek people.
He emphasized that the late leader, through his fruitful activities and valuable services, played a significant role in strengthening Iran’s governance, maintaining social stability, and safeguarding national values.
President Mirziyoyev also noted that the bright memories of his meetings with the Supreme Leader, which contributed substantially to the development of broad cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran based on mutual interests and a long-term partnership, will always remain in their hearts.
In this time of heavy sorrow and difficult circumstances, the Uzbek President extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to President Pezeshkian and the friendly and brotherly people of Iran.
