Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has sent a message to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, congratulating the government and people of Japan on the occasion of the country’s National Foundation Day.
In his message issued on Tuesday, President Pezeshkian highlighted the long-standing and friendly relations between Tehran and Tokyo, stressing the importance of deepening bilateral ties and strengthening cooperation at both bilateral and international levels.
The president also expressed hope that during the prime minister’s new term, practical and effective steps would be taken to further expand collaboration in various fields.
Referring to Iran’s principled foreign policy focused on promoting regional and international peace and security, President Pezeshkian welcomed Japan’s responsible role on the global stage.
He noted that Japan, through dialogue-oriented diplomacy, can play a constructive role in easing tensions, enhancing stability, and promoting diplomatic solutions in West Asia based on dialogue, cooperation, equality, and mutual respect.
The president concluded by wishing continued success and prosperity for the prime minister, the government, and the people of Japan.
