Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that while Iran does not seek military conflict, any aggression against the Islamic Republic will be met with immediate and decisive retaliation.

In a Friday phone conversation, the Iranian president and his UAE counterpart Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the latest developments in the region. 

During the phone call, President Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran's commitment to a dignified diplomacy approach, emphasizing the country’s policy of interaction, dialogue, and mutual respect within the framework of international laws. 

He expressed gratitude for the support of Islamic countries toward Iran and underscored the importance of coordinated efforts in reducing tensions and stabilizing peace across the region. 

Highlighting hostile actions by the US and the Israeli regime, including economic pressure, sanctions, and incitement of unrest, President Pezeshkian pointed out that while Iran does not favor war, recent actions by Western powers indicate a lack of commitment to diplomacy and international principles.

Strengthening ties with neighboring and Muslim nations remains a top priority for Iran’s foreign policy, the president said, adding that the necessity of national unity and internal harmony, spanning all ethnic, religious, and political groups within the country.

The UAE president praised Iran’s principled approach to diplomacy and dialogue, reiterating his country's readiness to play a constructive role in diplomatic efforts, aiming for peaceful, sustainable solutions to regional issues.
