President Masoud Pezeshkian officially announced the implementation of the law for Iran's accession to the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism.
This directive has been communicated to several key government bodies, including the Judiciary, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Intelligence, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, and the Central Bank of Iran.
The law, which was approved by the Iranian Parliament on December 5, 2018, and later revised by the Expediency Council on October 1, 2025, aims to enhance Iran's commitment to combating terrorism financing.
The Expediency Council's revisions included amendments to specific conditions within the convention, ensuring that it aligns with Iran's national interests.
