President Masoud Pezeshkian and members of the cabinet gathered at the mausoleum of the late Imam Khomeini to reaffirm their allegiance to the ideals of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the sacrifices of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution.

Pezeshkian administration pledges allegiance to Imam Khomeini’s ideals

In a ceremony marking the beginning of Government Week on Monday morning, President Pezeshkian, along with his cabinet members, paid their respects by reciting a prayer at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini. They honored the legacy of the revered leader and renewed their pledge to uphold his principles.

In addition to commemorating Imam Khomeini, the president and his cabinet members also remembered the late Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, former head of the Expediency Council, and Seyyed Ahmad Khomeini, the son of the Imam. 

Following their visit to the mausoleum, Pezeshkian and the Cabinet proceeded to the memorial site of the martyrs of the government, where they laid flowers and recited prayers in honor of the esteemed martyrs, including Mohammad Javad Bahonar, Mohammad Beheshti, and the martyrs of August 30, 1981, among others.
