Iran president advocates for reforms with patience, national cohesion

During a meeting with members of Iran’s Reform Front on Tuesday, Pezeshkian reiterated the need for intellectual and discursive synergy in the reform process.

He noted that security agencies have recognized that one of the enemies' tactics is to label and exclude elites from critical national issues, while preserving these elites is a strategic investment for Iran's future.

Pezeshkian highlighted his administration's commitment, stating, “Today, we are even prepared to engage in dialogue with the opposition based on fairness and justice, as resolving the country’s issues requires dialogue, not confrontation.”

Appreciating the proactive behavior of the Iranian people during pivotal moments, he remarked that the people's performance during the Israeli-imposed 12-day war was rooted in interaction rather than confrontation. This social capital enhances the administration's responsibility to address the people's demands. Therefore, he stressed the necessity of empowering social participation through parties, associations, groups, and non-governmental organizations as a foundation for policymaking.

Regarding foreign relations, the president mentioned that his administration has been actively pursuing diplomacy to strengthen international ties.

In his remarks, Pezeshkian also addressed the fundamental challenges facing Tehran as the capital, stating that from the outset of his tenure, he proposed ideas for relocating the capital. However, he noted that some critics focused on opposing the administration's positions rather than confronting the underlying realities.
