President Masoud Pezeshkian has instructed the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, the Supreme National Security Council, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to implement the law that calls for the suspension of the Islamic Republic’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). 

President instructs govt bodies to implement law on suspension of cooperation with IAEA

The president notified the afore-mentioned bodies of the law on Wednesday, acting in accordance with Article 123 of the Iranian Constitution. 

The legislation was already approved by the Iranian Parliament on June 25, 2025 and was ratified by Guardian Council on the same date.

The Iranian government suspended cooperation with the IAEA after the United States and the Zionist regime struck Iran’s nuclear sites as part of their war of aggression against the country.
