President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that the Islamic Republic does not seek tensions but will never retreat from its principles during indirect negotiations with the United States.
In a meeting with independent lawmakers in Tehran on Monday evening, President Pezeshkian stated that these indirect negotiations are being conducted in full coordination with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
The Supreme Leader’s instructions are being followed in these negotiations, Pezeshkian remarked, adding that his administration will not tie the livelihoods of the Iranian people to the nuclear talks.
Highlighting the administration’s commitment to the populace, he noted that officials are doing everything possible to demonstrate their dedication to serving the people.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Pezeshkian advocated for educational equity across Iran, stating that the 14th administration is determined to build schools in underserved areas and reform teaching methods.
The students are the nation's assets; thus, a lack of proper education cannot be rectified in the future, he asserted.
Regarding interactions between the National Consensus Administration and Parliament, the president emphasized that this atmosphere of empathy and cooperation will persist.
