President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that his administration is prioritizing the construction of a technology tower focused on vaccine production, biotechnology, artificial intelligence (AI), nanotechnology, and biological research.

During his visit to Alborz Province on Thursday, President Pezeshkian toured the Razi Vaccine and Serum Production Research Institute in Karaj. He stated that the 14th administration aims to establish a facility that aligns with the vision set forth by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, positioning Iran as a regional role model in these fields.

The president highlighted the need for a working group comprising academics, directors from the Razi Institute, as well as officials from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, and Ministry of Agriculture Jihad to plan the construction of a technology tower that meets global standards.

He noted that the successful establishment of this major scientific and technological project would pave the way for merging the Razi Institute and Pasteur Institute of Iran, transforming them into a leading research and production hub in medical sciences.

Pezeshkian also called for leveraging the expertise of Iranian elites, particularly those residing abroad, asserting that the successful implementation of the technology tower project could attract talent and generate wealth for the country.

He urged the use of renewable energy sources in the design and construction of the technology tower, emphasizing the need for innovative visions to elevate Iran to a position of excellence.
