President Masoud Pezeshkian said that the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is grounded in constructive interaction and dialogue based on a position of equality.

Iran advocates for equal negotiations, says President Pezeshkian

Speaking during a meeting with government officials, lawmakers, and citizens on Saturday, President Pezeshkian articulated Iran's commitment to dialogue based on mutual respect. He asserted that it is unacceptable to issue threats towards Iran while simultaneously seeking negotiations.

“If you wish to negotiate, what is the purpose of the threats?” Pezeshkian questioned. “The United States not only undermines Iran but also disrespects the global community, and this behavior directly contradicts the call for dialogue.”

The president also stressed the significance of unity among the Iranian populace, stating, “If we put aside our differences and stand united, our adversaries will think twice before acting against us. Together, we can tackle the challenges facing our people.”

He criticized the politicization of domestic issues, noting that some individuals have turned every matter into a political debate. Pezeshkian urged everyone to prioritize national service and collaborate under the leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, to effectively address the nation’s challenges.

In a separate address to the officials of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, President Pezeshkian acknowledged the difficult economic circumstances faced by the Iranian people and urged officials to prioritize optimization and asset generation in the Persian New Year.

He also called on the officials of the Ministry of Education to involve academic experts in the decision-making process, expressing his belief that scholarly insights can significantly contribute to resolving the country’s issues.
