President Masoud Pezeshkian has announced Iran's readiness to collaborate with Kuwait and other neighboring countries to enhance and solidify their brotherly relations.

Pezeshkian expresses readiness to strengthen ties with Kuwait, neighboring nations

During a phone call with Kuwait’s Emir, Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on Wednesday, President Pezeshkian extended congratulations to the Emir and the Kuwaiti people on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Reflecting on the teachings of the Quran, Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran considers itself a brother to all Islamic nations, highlighting that Islamic principles advocate for amicable and respectful relations among neighbors.

On the topic of regional de-escalation, he reaffirmed Iran's commitment to acting justly and fairly, making it clear that the Islamic Republic will not deviate from the path of equity nor accept any actions that contravene fairness and justice.

In response, Emir Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah conveyed his own congratulations for Eid al-Fitr and expressed Kuwait's eagerness to strengthen its ties with Iran. He welcomed President Pezeshkian's constructive approach toward deepening bilateral relations.

The Emir further emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to fostering friendly relations between Iran and the member states of the [Persian] Gulf Cooperation Council. 

He underscored the importance of resolving both regional and international disputes through dialogue, advocating for peaceful solutions devoid of the use of force. The Emir assured that the government and people of Kuwait would never permit their territory to be used for acts of aggression against any nation.
