President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a decree on Saturday appointing Ali Akbar Salehi as the chairman of the Iranology Foundation.
The president cited Salehi’s distinguished dedication and extensive experience as the reasons for this appointment.
In the decree, Pezeshkian called on the newly appointed head of the Iranology Foundation to operate within the framework of the Constitution, the goals of the 20-Year Vision Document, the general policies approved by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Seventh Development Plan, and the ethical guidelines of the 14th administration.
The president also urged Salehi to leverage the scientific capacities of Iranian thinkers and specialists and to employ innovative methods by applying studies and research in the field of Iranian studies at both national and international levels.
Additionally, Salehi must strive diligently to promote the significant status of Iran's civilization and culture and to advance the lofty goals of the Iranology Foundation, as outlined in the decree.
