President Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that fostering interaction with neighboring countries, promoting national unity, and leveraging international agreements are key policies of his administration aimed at overcoming economic challenges and the pressures of sanctions.
“Engagement, trade, and cooperation with regional nations, when executed effectively and in conjunction with regional organizations such as the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the BRICS group, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), will render US sanctions ineffective, and we will confront these challenges with strength, dignity, and honor,” President Pezeshkian stated during his visit to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday.
He urged lawmakers and citizens to support the 14th administration in addressing economic issues and energy imbalances.
The president noted that under the guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and in alignment with the existing policies of the Islamic Republic, unity is essential, when it comes to addressing challenges.
If we come together, we can create the necessary conditions to solve problems alongside producers, industrialists, managers, and the talented individuals in our country, he added.
In his remarks, the president also highlighted that most decisions made by his administration were initially approved by the heads of the three branches of government.
Pezeshkian acknowledged that while the country faces severe sanctions, some individuals attempt to blame Economy Minister Abdolnaser Hemmati for the current economic situation instead of informing the public that the pressure and problems have their roots in embargoes.
