President Masoud Pezeshkian has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to linking the southern city of Bushehr to the national railway network, deeming it a top priority. 

Pezeshkian emphasizes need to connect Bushehr to national railway network

On the second day of his visit to Bushehr Province, Pezeshkian met with elites and intellectuals on Thursday. During the meeting, he underscored the importance of rail transport for carrying freight in and out of the province, emphasizing that railway construction is crucial for the region’s economic development.

The president pointed out to the strategic advantages of Bushehr, which boasts a vital maritime border. He expressed his administration's determination to promote blue economy by leveraging the expertise of both Iranian and international specialists.

Pezeshkian also highlighted the role of women in his administration, advocating for their increased participation in management affairs to better address the country's challenges. He stressed the necessity of employing skilled experts who can effectively tackle the pressing issues faced by Iran as well.

Furthermore, he acknowledged the significant contributions of elites in problem-solving, asserting that collaboration with experts could lead to viable solutions for the nation's challenges.

Regarding the United States' adversarial policies, Pezeshkian stated that Iran does not welcome sanctions, but expressed assurance that the measures would not hinder the country’s progress. 

The Islamic Republic aims to foster peace and friendship with all nations, and therefore it is committed to strengthening ties with neighboring states and creating avenues for dialogue and cooperation, he added.
