Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called for the establishment of an international alliance, particularly involving Muslim nations, to assist the Palestinian people and rebuild the Gaza Strip.
“Definitely, Islamic countries can come together to rebuild Gaza and restore life to the Muslim people of this region,” President Pezeshkian stated in a meeting with members of the leadership council of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas in Tehran on Saturday.
The president reaffirmed Iran’s unwavering support for the resistance and the people of Gaza, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic believes in the ultimate triumph of the resistance, as promised by the almighty God in the holy Quran.
He also commended the significant achievements of the oppressed people of Gaza in their struggle against the Zionist regime, saying, "Your remarkable achievements and those of the oppressed people of Gaza in thwarting the objectives of the Zionist enemy, despite the heavy toll of martyrs you have sacrificed for the freedom of your land, are truly commendable. We congratulate all the fighters and the entire people of Gaza on this victory."
For his part, a member of Hamas leadership council expressed gratitude to Iran for its support of all resistance groups in Palestine, emphasizing that the Palestinian resistance is preparing to pave the way for the final victory and the liberation of Palestine.
Commemorating over 60,000 martyrs from the Gaza Strip as well as leaders and commanders of resistance in Palestine and Lebanon, the Hamas representative said that while the sounds of bombs and missiles may not be heard today in Gaza, the great war initiated by the enemies to eliminate resistance will not be forgotten. He added that resistance groups in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen have successfully thwarted these efforts.
He further dismissed recent claims made by US and Zionist officials regarding the future of Gaza, asserting that the future of Gaza belongs to its people and will be determined through a national cooperation among Palestinians.
