Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the most important issue in enhancing educational quality is providing students with appropriate educational services aimed at eliminating discrimination in this sector.
During a meeting in Tehran focused on enhancing educational standards and promoting equity, President Pezeshkian said on Saturday night that effective training of teachers is one of the key factors in improving the educational quality.
He argued that well-trained educators should not only deliver curriculum content but also instill values such as sincerity, responsibility, teamwork, and the ability to engage in constructive criticism.
The president called for more attention to late Imam Khomeini’s thoughts regarding education.
A serious commitment to the country's educational system would empower Iranian youth to seek solutions to challenges at home rather than contemplating migration abroad, he said.
Pezeshkian also advocated for leveraging the potential of parent-teacher associations to enhance the quality of education nationwide.
He further emphasized the importance of modernizing the current teaching methods as well as utilizing software and new technologies to achieve these objective.
