Iran’s Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution (SCCR) held a meeting on Tuesday, chaired by President Masoud Pezeshkian, making changes to the process of admitting students to universities.

Tenth-grade GPA not to be counted in university admission score in Iran

The council decided during its meeting in Tehran that the grade point average (GPA) of tenth-graders would not be counted in the total score required for entering university.

Based on the decision, only the GPAs of Grades 11 and 12 would be counted in the total score.

Members of the council agreed to hold follow-up meetings to decide the timeline of the Tuesday approval and other details.
