Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian called on police and security forces to swiftly investigate a terrorist attack that left two Supreme Court judges martyred.

Iran president orders swift probe into assassination of two Supreme Court judges 

Hojjatoleslam Ali Razini and Hojjatoleslam Ali Moqiseh were assassinated on Saturday morning in the capital Tehran after an assailant opened fired at them outside the building of the Iranian Justice Ministry. 

President Pezeshkian issued a message, extending his condolences to the families of the deceased and the Iranian nation. 

He also called for a swift investigation by police and security forces to identify the perpetrators behind the assassination. 

Pezeshkian described the attack as inhumane, and said the two judges spent their life countering different crimes against national security and defending people’s rights. Their path will certainly be continued, and no disruption will affect the process of upholding justice in the Islamic country, he added.
