The MoU was signed in Tehran on Wednesday evening by Education Minister Alireza Kazemi and Hossein Dehghan, the CEO of the Mostazafan Foundation, which is an institution working to promote the living standards of the disabled and the poor across Iran.

President Pezeshkian, who attended the signing ceremony, appreciated the foundation for its efforts to eliminate deprivation nationwide and empowering the poor.

He said that his administration is also focusing on similar efforts, and will use all the capacities available to achieve its goal of improving the living standards of the underprivileged people, with the assistance of organizations like the Mostazafan Foundation.

Part of those efforts by the administration is focused on building standard schools in all underprivileged areas within a year, with the help of the private sector and people, he added.

The president further said that the latest MoU serves as a beginning of further cooperation between his administration and the Mostazafan Foundation. To boost that cooperation, he added, the administration is ready to hold constant meetings with managers of the foundation to identify frameworks for joint efforts in different sectors.

Under the MoU, the two sides will construct approximately 2,000 classrooms in deprived regions across Iran.
