Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said that his government is determined to help in the development of Semnan Province, but stressed that provincial officials should also have full cooperation in this regard to accelerate the growth of their region.
The president made the comments in a meeting with lawmakers representing Semnan Province and its governor general on Monday evening.
Pezeshkian said that Semnan possesses numerous capacities for growth, and “the government is determined to activate the potential” of this province.
However, he added, provincial managers should also make efforts to help activate their region’s potential instead of solely relying on the budget provided by the government.
He also pointed out to relocating the capital from Tehran to a city by the sea, citing the inequality between resources and consumption in Tehran as one of the reasons behind considering the plan.
As to the situation of education in Iran, the president said that school construction and educational system reform are among the priorities of his government.
The representatives of Seman spoke about the issues faced by their province. Pezeshkian promised that the government will review and resolve them.
