Pezeshkian: Govt. will spare no effort to develop North Khorasan Province

"We will not spare any effort for the growth of the province", Pezeshkian said on Thursday night during a televised interview at the end of his two-day trip to North Khorasan, as he gave a briefing on the decisions made during the provincial visit.

He noted that during meetings with provincial officials, the government decided to allocate budget to implement different projects in road, agriculture, health, education and culture sectors of this province.

A major water supply project, a petrochemical project, and Bojnourd-Mashhad railroad are among the main projects that will be followed up by the government in order to be implemented, said Pezeshkian.

Referring to education as one of the important issues, the president said that coordination has been made to resolve problems related to educational spaces in North Khorasan Province by next year, adding that this issue will be solved by the assistance of public donors.

On the government’s plans to enhance public consent and improve the country’s position in the region, he underlined the need for achieving the goals set by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the National Vision Document.

Asked about the use of North Khorasan Province's commercial capacities, Pezeshkian explained that one of the decisions made during meetings in the province was about the establishment of a joint border market with Turkmenistan. The president said that the issue will be followed up through the Foreign Ministry and Turkmenistan’s officials.
