Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian signed into law the appointment decrees of six new governor generals.

President signs into law appointment decrees of six new governor generals

The governor generals are Bahman Nowruzi for North Khorasan Province, Masoud Emami Yeganeh for Ardabil Province, Ja’afar Mardani for Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Mohammad Javad Kulivand for Semnan Province, Mohsen Sadeqi for Zanjan Province, and Ahmad Karami for Ilam Province.

The six top provincial officials were appointed by the cabinet in recent weeks. The president signed their appointment decrees on Saturday, calling on them to work within the Constitution and general policies announced by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Pezeshkian also called on the new governor generals to adhere to the charter of the government, and make outmost efforts for the development of their relevant provinces.
