Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in New York City, the US, to take part in the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

President Pezeshkian arrives in New York to attend UNGA session  

The Iranian president landed at the John F. Kennedy International Airport on Sunday night, where he was welcomed by Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his deputies Majid Takht-Ravanchi and Kazem Gharibabadi. Iran’s Ambassador to the UN Amir Saeed Iravani, his deputy Zahra Ershadi and several more Iranian diplomats at the UN welcomed the president as well.

President Pezeshkian is scheduled to deliver a speech at the UNGA on Tuesday (September 24), outlining Iran’s positions on international and regional issues.

He will also meet with top officials from other countries, among other plans during his stay in the US.
