Iran’s president Masoud Pezeshkian expressed condolences on the passing away of great Islamic scholar Ayatollah Sheikh Abbas Mahfouzi.
In a message on Saturday (September 14), President Pezeshkian expressed his condolences to Ayatollah Mahfouzi’s family as well as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, esteemed religious authorities and seminaries.
In the message, President Pezeshkian hailed Ayatollah Mahfouzi for his knowledge, who left a lasting legacy through his efforts in explaining and promoting religious teachings including those by Shia imams.
Ayatollah Mahfouzi’s social activities, including the establishment of several scientific and academic centers, is considered a valuable asset, the president added.
