The Iranian cabinet appointed Mohammad Ali Talebi as new governor general of Kerman Province in the southeast of the country.
The cabinet appointed Talebi to the post during its session chaired by President Masoud Pezeshkian on Sunday, November 10.
Pezeshkian advised the new provincial official to make outmost effort to increase public satisfaction, which the president said is the top priority of his Government of National Unity.
President Pezeshkian also said that any person who works to sincerely serve the people is welcomed in his government.
The government wants to have the participation of individuals from all parties and with different attitudes in administering the country, he said, adding “we believe that if all of us stand by each other and make efforts together for the promotion of our country, this will increase our strength and no power will be able to harm us."
Pezeshkian also asked the new governor general of Kerman to put emphasis on enhancing unity and cohesion and pay special attention to less developed parts of the province.
