The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that in articulating the next year’s budget bill, his government focused on transparency, economic stability, increased economic growth, job creation, and justice.
President Masoud Pezeshkian made these remarks during a session of the Iranian parliament on Tuesday (October 29), noting that some revenues and expenses were not included in the budget bill in the past. However, in the new bill, for the first time, all revenues and expenses are presented transparently.
He expressed gratitude for the collaboration of lawmakers in preparing the bill's general principles, emphasizing that four key principles were considered for presenting the next year’s budget: 1. Budget structure, 2. Economic stability, 3. Economic growth and employment, and 4. Justice.
The President also stated that the next year’s budget bill includes increases in salaries for workers and retirees, especially those with larger families.
He further emphasized that the government is focused on supporting vulnerable groups in society, adding that the 14th government is striving to provide essential goods, medicines, and equipment while moving toward development and employment through economic stability.
President Pezeshkian mentioned that the country faces numerous problems related to imbalances in water, electricity, gas, and finance, and that solving these issues must be done through scientific and expert cooperation with the academic and political elite.
