In the follow-up meeting on the special issues of Qom province, after hearing the report on the obstacles to the completion of the two huge projects of Monorail and Qom International Airport, the President issued the necessary orders to solve the problems and start the implementation of these projects.

Examining the solutions for the completion of the Monorail project and the Qom International Airport was done in the follow-up meeting on the special issues of Qom Province, chaired by Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and with the presence of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, the Vice President for Executive Affairs, the Governor General and representatives of Qom in the Majlis, the mayor, the head of the city council and a number of other relevant officials.
First, the Vice President for Executive Affairs presented a report on the latest status of the Qom monorail project and the solutions reviewed to complete this project in expert and preliminary meetings. 
The President stated that this is a project for which significant resources have been spent and cannot remain unfinished and unused, and ordered that the implementation of the project in a phase-by-phase manner and based on the agreement of the officials of the related institutions, to start by Qom Municipality and the government will help Qom Municipality in providing the necessary resources for the implementation of the project.
Determining the status and completion of the Qom International Airport project was another issue raised in this meeting, and the Vice President for Executive Affairs and the Governor General presented reports on the history and latest status of this project.
At the end of this meeting, Dr Raisi stated that this government seeks to complete the half-finished projects, and therefore, with the view of solving the problem, he ordered that within 50 days, all obstacles should be removed.
