The President described the election as a clear manifestation of democracy and emphasised the necessity of providing the grounds for the widespread participation of the people in the second phase of the election and preparing all the facilities to complete their epic creation in the elections.
Speaking on Wednesday morning in the cabinet meeting, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi referred to the approaching time of holding the second phase of the Islamic Consultative Assembly elections in some constituencies, stressing on the necessity of providing the grounds for the widespread participation of the people in this phase of the elections and preparing all the facilities to complete their epic creation.
The President described the election as a clear manifestation of religious democracy, in which members of the society participate in fulfilling their social and shari'a duty and choose their confidants to legislate and improve the process of affairs.
Dr Raisi further pointed out the necessity of people's participation in order to achieve the goal of production surge and added, "Preparing the ground for the realisation of people's participation requires serious efforts from all government departments; Every organisation must formulate and announce the fields and strategies for attracting people's participation in its department in a precise manner and with a specific schedule and monitor its implementation continuously and step by step".
In today's session of the cabinet, the President also congratulated the arrival of Labour Day and Teacher's Day and described and clarified the role of workers and teachers in the progress and development of the country as essential and important, adding, "The foundation of the creation of the world is based on education and therefore all of us need more knowledge and learning".
