The President said, "Education is related to resolving the concerns of today's concerned people, pathologists, sociologists, and families, therefore, the issue of education is not a priority issue, but the first issue of the country, and the goal of the Islamic Revolution as a cultural revolution is to promote culture, build human beings, build a Qoranic and exemplary society with the help and focus of education, teachers and schools".
Speaking on Monday morning nearing Teacher's Day in a meeting with a large group of educators and in the ceremony of praising top teachers of the country, while expressing his satisfaction at being present in the gathering of educators, teachers and future makers of the country, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi sincerely appreciated the efforts of all educators and teachers and congratulated all the teachers and those involved in education on Teacher's Day.
The President described the institution of education as a very important issue that should always be the attention of statesmen, teachers, educators and dear families and said, "The issue of education is the basis of building the country, protecting the society, cultural, economic and social development, pathology and the elimination of damage from the society and the basis for the improvement of generations".

While praising all the efforts made by the ministers, deputies, general managers, trainers and teachers since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in order to improve the institution of schools, the President added, "Today, there is a need to review the actions taken with the aim of reducing the gap between the existing situation and the desired situation and in this context, the education reform document can be very effective in the direction of coordinated and coherent actions between the school, the family and the guardians of the implementation of this document".
Emphasising the importance of strengthening the school's software and hardware to implement this document, Dr Raisi added, "We all must understand the necessity of transformation and pay special attention to any action that brings us closer to this process".
Referring to the importance of the implementation of justice in the society, the President clarified, "A person who seeks justice, is committed, responsible, right-seeking and concerned is trained in the institution of a school, and basically, a school is the solution to many issues and problems of our society".
Dr Raisi also emphasised the importance of the position of teachers and added, "Imam Khomeini's (RA) remarks that "a teacher is the job of a prophet" is a Quranic and religious statement, because the first teacher of humanity is God and then prophets and divine saints".
Dr Raisi called education and training the only way to protect the society from domination and cultural invasion in today's world of communication and information and added, "Restriction and prohibition are not possible in any way and the only way to use this tool is in the path of education and culture and science promotion in the country".
In another part of his speech, the President referred to the scandal of the self-proclaimed advocates of ethics, human rights and freedom of expression in the events in Gaza and said, "Today, thanks to the pure blood of the oppressed martyrs of Gaza, the curtains have been removed, the veil has fallen from their face, and Gaza is the clear sign of the truth of western civilisation for everyone and the free nations of the world have come to believe in the truth of the words of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution about the absurdity of the West's claims".
Referring to the importance of the relationship between teacher and student, Dr Raisi called it the duty of all teachers and educators to open the mental knots of students and stated, "If the mental knots of students are not opened today, it will become a problem and the mental isolation of our teenagers and young people. Therefore, all of you teachers and trainers have a duty to solve their doubts by taking advantage of the very good communication between the teacher and the student".
Dr Raisi also honoured the memory of Professor Shahid Motahari and all martyred teachers and students of the country and stated, "The government has special respect for all teachers and this respect is not only in words but also in planning, decisions and decision-making to improve the status of teachers".
The President emphasised, "We consider any expenditure to strengthen the flow of education, science and culture in the country as an investment for the country's future, the results of which will be reflected in the country".
At the beginning of this ceremony, in the presence of the President, 15 top teachers of the first and second primary and secondary levels, as well as 5 top people of the educational management and quality department, were awarded with plaques.
