Emphasising the approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the development of trade and economic relations with African countries, the President said that participating in the Iran-Africa Conference and visiting the  expo is a very valuable opportunity to familiarise the officials of the African continent with the capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in different sectors and emphasised Iran's readiness to exchange these capacities.

On the sidelines of the second international conference of Iran and Africa, Constantino Chiwenga, the Vice President of Zimbabwe, met with the president.

Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi described the Islamic Republic of Iran's view of Africa as a strategic view based on collective interests and, referring to the very good relations between Iran and Zimbabwe, emphasised the determination of the high officials of the two countries to expand and improve the level of cooperation.

Emphasising the approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the development of trade and economic relations with African countries, the President said that participating in this conference and visiting the Expo exhibition is a very valuable opportunity to familiarise the officials of the African continent as much as possible with the capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in different sectors and emphasised on Iran's readiness to exchange these capacities.

In this meeting, the Vice President of Zimbabwe also referred to the long history of friendly relations between the two countries, especially after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and called for the expansion of more commercial and economic interactions and cooperation with Iran based on these close and old relations.

Constantino Chiwenga, while thanking the successful holding of the Iran-Africa International Conference, called the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards African countries principled and reassuring, and emphasised his country's readiness to develop cooperation with Iran.

Referring to the determination of the officials of this country to implement the agreements made with Iran during Dr Raisi's visit to this country last year, the Vice President of Zimbabwe announced the implementation of a part of these agreements.
