Referring to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution's invitation to students, researchers and professors to produce science, the President said about the scientific monopoly in the West and added, "We believe that the thoughts of the nations of the East, especially the dear people of Pakistan and the great nation of Iran, have this ability to have new trends for the world in the field of technical and scientific innovations".
Continuing the plans of the second day of his trip to Pakistan, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi attended the meeting of the scientific and cultural elites of the Punjab state at "GCU" Lahore University at noon today, and while expressing satisfaction at being in the historical, cultural and beautiful city of Lahore, he called the relations between the two countries beyond the neighbourhood, and called them religious, cultural, civilisational and heartfelt relations, which have caused an unbreakable bond between the two nations".
The President described the increase of knowledge and the production of science in scientific and academic centres as a source of power and wealth for the countries and a source of authority and pride for the nations and clarified, "Having faith along with science is a condition for success and happiness for the individual and the society. Science without faith and faith without knowledge and science leads nowhere".
Dr Raisi introduced Iqbal Lahori as a symbol of a scholar and a man of faith and stated, "He was able to combine knowledge, faith, the spirit of independence, justice, humanity and many other great qualities in his being".

Pointing out that Americans and Westerners always claim to be free-thinking, the President said, "But what we see in practice is that a large number of students are expelled from the university just for supporting the oppressed people of Gaza. Is this called freedom of thought!?"
Dr Raisi described the claim of defending the human rights of Westerners to be untrue, as well as the claim of supporting their freedom of thought, and added, "America and the West's support for the killing and wounding of more than 100,000 Palestinians in the usurped land of Gaza shows the fact that today the biggest violators of human rights are Americans and Westerners, and their claim to defend human rights is also absurd".
The President stated, "Imam Khomeini emphasised from the beginning of the victory of the Islamic Revolution that Palestine is the first issue of the Islamic world, and today the issue of the liberation of Al-Quds is not only the first issue of the Islamic world, but also the first issue of the human world, and we have no doubt that the resistance of the heroic nation of Palestine will liberate Gaza, Palestine and the Holy Quds. We have no doubt that the hatred that has been created in the Islamic world and the world of humanity towards the Zionists and Americans will become the revenge of the nations and the end of the Zionist regime and the end of this child-killing regime".
Referring to the remarks of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution that if the arrogant world stands against our religion, we will stand against their whole world, Dr Raisi clarified, "Today, the Iranian nation stands against the corruption, extravagance and oppression of the Zionist regime and will continue to do so. Both the nations of Iran and Pakistan have been the defenders of the oppressed Palestinian nation and will continue this defence with pride".
Stating that the great nation of Iran punished the Zionist regime this time for its crime and action in attacking the consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was against all international laws, conventions and the United Nations Charter, the President said, "If the Zionist regime once again makes a mistake and invades the holy land of Iran, the situation will be different and it is not clear that there will be anything left of this regime".
At the end of his speech, Dr Raisi stated that good understandings have been achieved during this trip and noted, "The will of the leaders of the two countries is to develop relations in all fields and the result of the implementation of these understandings will definitely improve the level of cooperation. Some countries tried hard to harm the friendly relations between Iran and Pakistan, but the heart bond between the two nations will never be broken".
