The President referred to Iran's significant economic progress and the move from a single-product economy to having diverse and high-quality industrial, agricultural, and knowledge-based products and said, "Iran's high capacities in the economic field are a suitable field for the development of mutual cooperation in the fields of energy and technology, engineering, industrial, petrochemical and finance with Algeria".
Speaking this Sunday afternoon local time, at the meeting of the high-ranking delegations of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Algeria, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi congratulated the Algerian government for the successful holding of the 7th GECF Summit, and referring to good political relations and cultural and religious commonalities between the two countries, emphasised on further improving the level of economic and commercial relations between the two countries.
The President described Algeria as a leading country in the fight against hegemony and colonialism and paid tribute to the independence martyrs of this country and added, "Algeria's regional policy is aimed at promoting peace and security in the region and we consider this policy positive".

The President also referred to the common view of Iran and Algeria on various regional issues, especially the fight against terrorism, and considered the development of Tehran-Algiers relations as a basis for strengthening regional and international relations between them.
Referring to the negotiations held regarding the formation of a joint financial fund to support knowledge-based activities, in addition to announcing the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to transfer experiences in various fields of science and technology, energy and petrochemicals with Algeria, Dr Raisi proposed the two countries to jointly produce products to especially to cooperate in the field of knowledge.
In this meeting, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the President of Algeria, while thanking the presence of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the 7th GECF Summit, and the agreements made in a private meeting with Dr Raisi in the field of strengthening commercial, economic, and political relations, as well as the increase in commercial and financial exchanges and emphasised the activation of the joint commission of the two countries.
The President of Algeria also stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has made remarkable and significant progress despite the presence of extensive sanctions, and emphasised his country's interest in developing relations in all political, economic and technological fields with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
