The President stated that the Islamic Revolution of Iran, unlike most revolutions and movements in the world, which after some time undergo rotation in their positions and changes in their ideals and slogans, has continued to stand by its ideals and slogans, and clarified, “That day our slogan was "Neither Eastern, nor Western, Islamic Republic" and this is our slogan today. Our slogan that day was "Independence, Freedom, Islamic Republic" and our slogan is the same today”.
Speaking on Wednesday afternoon at the ceremony of "commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution with the presence of foreign ambassadors residing in Iran", Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi congratulated the first revelation of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), and stated, “The revolution of the Iranian nation was a revolution relying on God Almighty and with self-confidence, without any help from the foreign powers of the East and West, and with an empty hand”.
Dr Raisi stated, “The Iranian nation came to the field with faith, belief, steely determination and trust in its power, which was formed in the light of God's power, and fought a regime armed to the teeth, supported by America, England and some other western countries”.
Stating that the will of the Iranian nation to form a government called the Islamic Republic was opposed to the will of a regime that did not want the will of this nation to be realised, the President said, “In this war of wills, the will of the Iranian nation won and achieved victory in their revolution despite the fact that they had no weapons and they were not supported by any foreign power”.
The President continued by stating that the enemies tried to prevent the Islamic revolution of the Iranian nation, which overthrew the Pahlavi regime, from forming a system and government, and stated that despite the wishes of the enemies, Imam Khomeini immediately after the victory of the revolution, put the type of future government to a referendum.
Dr Raisi added, “This was a democratic move, contrary to the claim of those who claim to defend democracy, who in practice do not pay attention to this claim, because if they cared about it, today the people of Palestine and Yemen could choose the government of their choice”.
The President also pointed to the delusional claims of the American and Western media about the fall of the Islamic Republic of Iran and stated, “Many times these media claimed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will be destroyed in 6 months, but 45 years have passed since those 6 months they said”.
Saying that today all the nations of the world have received the message of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr Raisi clarified, “The message of the Islamic Republic is anti-arrogance, anti-tyranny, defending the oppressed and oppressed in the world, political and economic independence, freedom of the pen, freedom of thought and expression, negation of unilateralism, cruelty, oppression and arrogance, peace and friendship with neighbours, calming and improving the security of the Persian Gulf region and the Sea of Oman”.
The President stated that supporting the oppressed Palestinian nation is the unchangeable principle of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic and one of the main ideals of the revolution of the Iranian nation and said, “In the early days of the victory of the revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA) declared Palestine to be the first issue of the Islamic world and today on the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, we also announce that Palestine is the first issue of the Islamic world”.
In another part of his speech, the President identified the opposition to the progress of the Iranian nation as the main reason for the opposition of the United States and the West to the peaceful nuclear activities of the Islamic Republic and added, “We have stated many times that in the doctrine of the Islamic Republic of Iran and according to the fatwa of the wise leader of the Islamic Revolution has no place for nuclear weapons”.
Dr Raisi emphasised the insistence of the Iranian nation on its nuclear right despite the repeated violations of the West in the matter of nuclear negotiations and stated, “We have not and will not leave the negotiation table, and we have always been ready to verify the peacefulness of our country's nuclear activities”.
Dr Raisi called the medical embargo on sick Iranian children a scandalous document of human rights claimants and today's supporters of the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and added, “What is happening today in Gaza and against the oppressed Palestinian children and women at the hands of the Zionist regime and with the support of America and other western countries, has removed the mask from their faces and they have no answer about this child killing and genocide to the awakened consciences of the nations of the world”.
The President stated that America is trying to keep this fake regime on its feet by vetoing the UN resolutions for a cease-fire in Gaza and sending equipment and weapons to the Zionist regime, and added, “Today we are witnessing, after 4 months of these tragedies, the victory belongs to the Palestinian people”.
Rejecting the involvement of the US and Western countries in determining the future of the Palestinian nation, Dr Raisi added, “If you really claim democracy, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran presented a completely democratic plan in this regard, according to which each Palestinian has one vote, according to which Palestinians, including Muslims, Christians and Jews, can determine their desired government by voting”.
The President continued to emphasise the Islamic Republic of Iran's firm support for the Palestinian people's desire for justice and independence and against oppression, arrogance and unilateralism, and by stating that what is known as the world order today is an unjust order, because if it was based on justice, the Palestinian nation would not have been oppressed today.
Dr Raisi stated, “The presence of American forces in our region has no justification and the problems of the region should be resolved with the presence of the regional officials”.
The President described the development of relations with neighbouring, Islamic and aligned countries as the main priority of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and clarified, “Our policy is the policy of interaction and cooperation with all countries. We have always proved that we are the best friend and companion in difficult times for neighbouring countries and the region”.
Pointing out that the Islamic Republic of Iran believes in peace and stability in the region, Dr Raisi added, “We believe that the presence of the Americans in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan and the region does not create security in any way, but rather disturbs the security of the region”.
In the end, Dr Raisi expressed his hope that the resilient nation of Iran will get closer to its lofty goals day by day, and also that the resilient, oppressed and powerful nation of Palestine will be able to achieve its lofty goals, which is the establishment of a Palestinian state.
