Start of executive measures for completion of Persian Gulf bridge by Qeshm Free Zone Organisation / Investigating reasons for banning establishment of industrial units in Makoran coastal strip with presence of Department of Environment

On Thursday evening, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi attended the follow-up meeting on special issues of the province in continuation of the plans of the second trip of the Popular Administration to Hormozgan province and while receiving a report on the obstacles, problems, issues and priority issues of Hormozgan, he issued the necessary orders to remove or investigate these obstacles.
At the beginning of this meeting, the topic of the pending Persian Gulf Bridge project and the reasons why the implementation of this project was stopped, as well as the ways to provide financial resources for its completion, were discussed.
According to the report of the Vice-President for Executive Affairs, the process of implementing this project, which will bring many benefits to the province, has been stalled since two decades ago due to the lack of financing, with 15% progress.
After listening to the report, the President ordered the Qeshm Free Zone Organisation to take executive measures while raising this issue in the Economic Council, emphasising the strategic necessity of implementing this project.
Dr Raisi obliged the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development to submit a proposed plan to solve the problem of the residents of settlements within a maximum of one month with the coordination of Hormozgan Governor General.
In the continuation of this meeting, the issue of banning the establishment of industrial, production and service units at a distance of 2 km from Makoran coast was also raised based on the notification of the Department of Environment.
