At the end of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s visit to Türkiye, the two countries issued a joint statement while emphasising the necessity of trying to maximise the volume of trade between them, condemning the crimes of the usurping Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Gaza and demanding an immediate end to the attacks by the Israeli regime, unconditional and immediate stop of the cruel blockade of the Gaza Strip and the immediate, sufficient and unimpeded delivery of essential goods and services to the Palestinian people.

At the end of Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi's visit to the country, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Türkiye issued a joint statement, and emphasised the determination of the two countries to expand bilateral political, economic, and cultural relations, while explaining their views on important regional and international issues, especially the necessity of cooperation in In order to immediately stop the Zionist regime's crimes against the oppressed people of Gaza, and emphasised, “In order to return to normal conditions in the Red Sea region, decisive measures are necessary to prevent the crimes of the Zionist regime”.
The full text of this statement is as follows:
- The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Türkiye, in the light of their traditional relations based on mutual respect, common interests, friendship, and deep-rooted cultural and historical ties, emphasised on their strong political will to expand relations in all fields through mutual meetings at the highest levels and strengthen relations between people.
- The two countries expressed their determination to jointly fight against all forms and manifestations of terrorism, which has become one of the biggest challenges of our time and has caused a lot of damage in the region, and emphasised on fighting the smuggling of goods, arms and drugs, and fighting organised crimes along their common borders.
- Iran and Türkiye also agreed to strengthen stable, sustainable and fair economic and commercial cooperation by using the existing bilateral mechanisms and agreements and strive to maximise the volume of trade and increase cooperation in the field of energy, and by creating a suitable environment, increase mutual investments and encourage the private sector of both sides to increase cooperation and mutual investment.
- Considering the strategic position and the central role of the two countries in the transportation of goods and passengers as each other's gateways to Europe and Asia, the parties emphasised their willingness and commitment to strengthen cooperation in the field of road, rail and combined transit, cooperation in the field of corridors, the strengthening of border trade and the creation of new border terminals.
- Cooperation in the field of environment and fair and sustainable use of common water resources were among the other axes of the conversation between the Presidents of the two countries.
- The two sides also emphasised the importance of cultural, archive, youth, sports, higher education and productive media relations.
- Both sides, while strongly condemning the insulting of Islamic sanctities, increasing Islamophobia, and spreading hatred against Islam, emphasised their close cooperation in the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to approve resolutions against attacks on holy books as religious hatred.
- Condemning the barbaric crimes of the Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Gaza was one of the main topics of the Presidents of the two countries. Expressing concern over the continuation of these crimes, the two sides demanded an immediate end to the Israeli regime's attacks, an immediate and unconditional lifting of the cruel blockade of the Gaza Strip, and the immediate, sufficient and unimpeded delivery of essential goods and services to the Palestinian people, and emphasised the legitimate and indisputable rights of the Palestinian people, especially the right to defend itself.
- The two sides also emphasised the need to confront the impunity of the political and military leaders of the Israeli regime and try them in competent courts for war crimes, genocide and other forms of crimes and welcomed the legal action of the South African government against the Israeli regime in the International Court of Justice.
- While emphasising their mutual will as partners of the Astana process to maintain peace in Syria, the two sides also stated their commitment to the territorial integrity, integrity and political sovereignty of Syria. The two countries, also by announcing their support for the territorial integrity, political unity and sovereignty of Iraq, emphasised their common expectations from this country to fight terrorism and strengthen cooperation in this field.
- Emphasising the need to respect the territorial integrity of the countries of the Caucasus region, the two countries evaluated the 3+3 regional platform as a suitable forum for consultation and constructive cooperation between the member countries.
- The two countries assessed the practical and constructive interaction with the current officials of Afghanistan as important and emphasised the necessity of creating an inclusive, responsible and responsive government in Afghanistan on behalf of all the people of this country and providing security for them without any ethnic and sectarian discrimination.
- The necessity of an all-out fight against all terrorist groups, drug production and trafficking, human trafficking and illegal traffic, providing the possibility of safe, voluntary and honourable return of all illegal Afghan immigrants to their country were other issues emphasised by both sides.
- While declaring their support for the territorial integrity of Yemen, the two countries emphasised on finding a stable political solution and establishing permanent peace and stability in this country, as well as sending urgent aid from the international community, including food, medicine and other essential items to the Yemeni people.
- While stressing the importance of maintaining the security of shipping in regional and international waters, including the Red Sea, the Presidents of the two countries considered the escalation of regional tensions and the current situation in the Red Sea as the result of the Israeli regime's brutal aggression against the people of Gaza, and emphasised that in order for the region to return to normal conditions, decisive measures must be taken to prevent Israeli crimes.
- The necessity of establishing a just and sustainable peace in Ukraine through political negotiations and trying to deal with the negative global and regional effects of this conflict, which is increasing with the continuation and prolongation of the war, was one of the issues emphasised by both sides.
