The President announced the presence of the leaders of Iran and Türkiye in the joint meeting of the business executives of Iran and Türkiye as something that announces the decisive determination of the two countries to carry out jihad and leap forward in the direction of solving the problems and obstacles facing the all-round development of relations between Iran and Türkiye, especially in the economic and commercial fields.

On Wednesday evening, in continuation of his official travel plans to Türkiye, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi attended the joint meeting of the business executives of the two countries, and stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to increase the level of economic relations with Türkiye and clarified, “The manifestation of this decision can be seen in the documents and agreements that were signed today between the two countries”.
Pointing out that Iran and Türkiye have various mutual capacities to develop economic cooperation with each other, the President added, “The two countries have agreed to increase the volume of trade exchanges up to $30 billion in the first step, and you business executives are the field officers for realising this goal”.
Stating that problems and shortcomings may arise naturally in the process of any activity, Dr Raisi said, “No matter how serious the problems are, they should not stop activities and try to improve the level of relations”.

The President described the administrative bodies and organisations of the two countries responsible and in charge of removing the problems and obstacles and facilitating the economic and commercial activities and cooperation of business executives and said, “The heads of the two countries, in the meetings they had today and in all the consultations in the current process of relations, have emphasised the mutual will to deepen and strengthen relations, therefore the officials of the two countries should facilitate the increase of trade and export and import between the two countries with jihadi efforts”.

Pointing out that increasing the volume of trade exchanges and economic cooperation between Iran and Türkiye in the region and the international arena, Dr Raisi pointed out that the Islamic Republic of Iran, just as the development of relations with neighbouring and Muslim countries, has put the focus of its diplomacy as giving priority to neighbouring and Muslim countries in the field of developing economic relations”.

Emphasising again that the development of relations with the neighbouring and Muslim country of Türkiye requires the development of economic relations between the two countries, the President said, “The common views and approaches of the two countries in regional and international issues require the strengthening of bilateral relations in all fields, therefore I call upon you business executives to make more efforts in this field”.

While expressing his satisfaction with the agreements made to solve some problems in the economic activities of the two countries, Dr Raisi expressed hope that this meeting will be a turning point in improving the level of commercial and economic relations between Iran and Türkiye.
