Speaking before noon on Thursday, in a meeting with the people of Damavand city, while congratulating the holy month of Rajab, paying tribute to the pure souls of the martyrs of this city and their respected families, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said, “Our effort is to try to solve the problems of the people of the neighbouring cities of Tehran province in the meetings of the administrative council”.
The President mentioned the pursuit of solving infrastructure problems, roads and water and electricity of Damavand city as one of the main reasons for his trip to this city and added, “The development of Damavand city is considered as one of the very good opportunities for the people of this region, but if by preserving the environment and If pastures and forests of this area are not considered, it may become a threat”.

Dr Raisi continued by emphasising the need to pay attention to the management of water resources in Damavand city, especially in the agricultural sector, and added, “Fortunately, we do not have a water shortage problem in this region despite the droughts of the last few years, but the importance of water resources management is not less than the importance of water availability”.
The President further stated, “Paying attention to the consumption pattern in the domestic and industrial sector as well as the use of modern irrigation methods, especially subsurface water supply in the agricultural sector, with the aim of managing water resources is emphasised by the government”.
Referring to the construction of Namroud Dam project, the President noted, “The construction of this dam started in 2005, and while this project could have been put into operation earlier, it is still half-finished”.
Saying that some of the houses in the path of this dam should be moved and transferred to other areas, Dr Raisi said, “We have set a time for this project and I hope we can use this dam in less than a year”.
Continuing the construction of medical centres and the completion of half-finished projects in Damavand, the President considered it one of the government's agendas and said, “Considering that Damavand region has a variable population in addition to a fixed population, therefore, equipping medical centres in this region is one of our travel resolutions today”.
Dr Raisi emphasised that the respected officials of the region should know that it is not possible to solve the problems and fulfill the demands of the people with ordinary measures, and stated, “This important thing requires jihadi work”.
The President stated that today we have backwardness in the country that we could not have, and said, “The people and youth of Iran turned sanctions and threats into opportunities, and today Iran can be considered an advanced and technological country”.
Emphasising that the enemy did not want us to have economic growth and the country's production wheels to move, Dr Raisi said, “Today, more than 6,500 semi-closed production units are in the production cycle, and the country is growing in terms of machinery and production equipment”.
Emphasising the necessity of fighting against complex administrative bureaucracies, Dr Raisi said, “We should not disappoint the farmer, economic activist and producer, but we should monitor the processes in such a way that things are done quickly”.
The President considered it the duty of the country's officials to create hope in the hearts of the people and noted that the enemy wants to disappoint the people.
Referring to the issue of employment in Damavand, Dr Raisi said, “Unemployment in Damavand is not as high as in some parts of the country, but there is unemployment among educated people in this region, and it is necessary to provide them with employment opportunities”.
Referring to the growth of cooperation between government agencies and knowledge-based companies since the beginning of the 13th administration, the President said, “At the beginning of this government, 100 knowledge-based companies cooperated with the Ministry of Oil, but today 600 knowledge-based companies are doing great work in the Ministry of Oil”.
Referring to the existence of science and technology parks in the country despite the enemy's sanctions, Dr Raisi said, “When I talk to the officials of other countries, they say how did you manage to make such progress with this amount of sanctions. Some may not believe this truth and will never believe it”.
Dr Raisi said, “Tourism industry can create employment and good income for the country. This issue is one of the important agendas of the government in Damavand region”.
Addressing the youth, the President stressed that the future is very bright and Iran has many capacities for progress.
