The President described efforts to realise, preserve and promote the Iranian-Islamic identity as well as recognising and applying the best, most effective and up-to-date tools and methods to deal with threats to the Iranian-Islamic identity as four very important and fundamental missions of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
Speaking before noon on Tuesday, in the fifteenth destination of the program of supervision of executive bodies, while visiting various departments of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and listening to the report of the minister, deputies and managers of this ministry, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi gave tips and guidelines in order to strengthen the activities of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
At the beginning of his speech, the President described efforts to realise, preserve and promote the Iranian-Islamic identity as well as recognising and applying the best, most effective and up-to-date tools and methods to deal with threats to the Iranian-Islamic identity as four very important and fundamental missions of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
While appreciating the measures taken by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Dr Raisi emphasised the necessity of a transformational and jihadist movement to deal with the widespread cultural invasion and stated, "Today, we met the officials of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance to evaluate the designs and plans of the ministry in carrying out the important mission of protecting the cultural and religious identity of the country".
The President further pointed to the activities of the endowment and charity organisation under the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and said, "In the matter of endowment, the first priority is to act on the intention, but in the second place, the endowment income should be spent on the economy of culture".
Production of entertainment tools and toys, production in animation and computer games, and production of cultural content were among the other points mentioned by Dr Raisi, who explained their importance and stated, "Among the important cultural fields that have been neglected to a large extent and their needs is still supplied from sources whose products are not compatible with the beliefs, customs and environment of our Iranian-Islamic culture".
The President added, "We have very good capacities in the field of toy production, animation, computer games and content production in the country, which if they are paid attention to, in addition to meeting domestic needs in terms of funds and cultural attractions, they can contribute to the prosperity of the economy, culture and production".
Dr Raisi further pointed to the important issue of encouraging and supporting people of culture and art and noted, "Interaction with artists and people of culture and literature requires a lot of subtleties. Officials of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance should pay enough attention to the living conditions of cultural and artistic activists and provide them with the necessary support in meeting their needs".
Cultural justice and the creation of suitable infrastructures and platforms for the gathering and activities of the people of culture and art in the provinces, cities and different parts of the country was another important point that the President emphasised.
Dr Raisi also called on the cultural authorities to follow the model of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in meeting with the people of culture, art and literature of the country and emphasised, "Holding meetings with the people of culture and art in promoting and strengthening the field of art and culture is very important and effective".
The President said, "This ministry is the cultural border guard of the country and its officials should be in the position of monitoring the cultural atmosphere of the country from any action aimed at harming the legitimate freedoms".
Dr Raisi considered the freedom of thought, expression and pen to be among the greatest achievements and honours of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which some are trying to distort with their poisonous pen and expression.
The President described and clarified that strengthening cultural ties along with strengthening political and economic relations with neighbouring, Islamic and aligned countries is very important, adding, "The Western media empire always tries to distort the image and create mental knots in the world public opinion towards the Islamic Republic of Iran, and therefore the cultural advisers of the Islamic Republic of Iran should use all their power to neutralise these efforts and promote the values and assets of the Iranian-Islamic culture".
Dr Raisi added, "Also, cultural consultants should try to highlight priority and prominent issues in the atmosphere of public opinion in Iran in other countries as well. For example, when the main issue these days for the Iranian nation is to defend the rights of the Palestinian nation and raise awareness about the central role of America in the crime against Gaza, this approach should be promoted in the countries where the mission of Iranian cultural advisors is".
The President emphasised the importance of correct, accurate and artistic narration by the officials and cultural advisors of our country and stated, "Today the world is the battlefield of narratives; The one who gives the first and most accurate narration is very important and decisive. In the last 100 days, we have seen it in the current events in Gaza, when the modern media caused people to come to the streets to protest against the crimes of the Zionists and the support of the United States and some Western countries for these crimes, the Zionists and the domination system quickly took action to prevent it".
