Dr Raisi went on to say that another important issue raised in this meeting was the issue of Palestine, which was noted in the members' speeches, and stated, "Although no statement was supposed to be issued in this meeting, but with the emphasis of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the support of the members, it was decided that a statement be issued at the end of the meeting, in which it was emphasised to support the rights of the Palestinians and the necessity of stopping the bombings and stopping the crimes of the Zionists, lifting the siege and starting to provide aid to the residents of Gaza".
The President also mentioned his meetings with the leaders of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey on the sidelines of this summit and said, "In the working meeting we had with Mr Erdogan, although the issue of bilateral relations was discussed, the important issue of Palestine overshadowed our discussions. It became the main issue of the negotiations, which of course was expected".
