Stating that Iran has made great progress despite the threats and sanctions, the President said, "Iran has made great progress in the field of science and technology, and we have significant capacities in the fields of energy, agriculture, industry, mines and technical experiences that we can share with the dear people of Tajikistan".
Speaking in a joint press conference with the President of Tajikistan, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi expressed his satisfaction with visiting the friendly and brotherly country and stated, "Without a doubt, the exchanges between the two friendly countries can contribute to the development of bilateral relations".
Referring to the decisions taken during his previous visit to Dushanbe, the President added, "Today, after months have passed, we have seen that the relations between the two sides have developed well in the political, economic, commercial and cultural fields".
Dr Raisi stated that in the negotiations we had with Mr President, we came to the conclusion that there is no obstacle to the development of relations between the two countries, and stated, "Iran and Tajikistan have a common history, civilisation and language, and most importantly, they share common beliefs. Both countries believe in the dear religion and teachings of Islam, and the beliefs of the two countries have brought us together and connected us to such an extent that this bond will never be broken".
The President said that the level of economic relations between the two countries are not proportional to the amount of heartfelt, belief, historical and civilisation ties between them and said, "Commercial ties and economic cooperation between the two countries can definitely be more than this amount".

Pointing out that we have a lot in common with Tajikistan in the cultural field and many areas of cooperation, the President said, "It was decided that with the activation of the relevant departments in the two countries, we can take steps towards the development of the Persian language in line with cultural development and countering the cultural invasion, so that we will be able to protect our cultural assets, which are the important and lasting capital of Iran and Tajikistan".
Dr Raisi added, "There are good capacities between the two countries in the commercial and economic field, which can be revived with the seriousness, follow-up, and determination that exists between the two countries today".
The President also emphasised that the two countries have common views on regional issues and stated, "Both countries are concerned about the dear people of Afghanistan and we believe that the Americans, after 2 decades of occupying this country, have left nothing but destruction, murder, killing and backwardness for Afghanistan. It is the right of the people of Afghanistan to grow and develop –very good people who we believe have a very bright future ahead of them".
Dr Raisi stated, "As two neighbours, we feel more responsible towards the dear people of Afghanistan than others. We believe that a government should be formed in Afghanistan that represents all ethnic groups, religions and people of Afghanistan and can take lasting steps in the direction of the progress of this country".
The President also described the view of Iran and Tajikistan on the need to support the oppressed and authoritative people of Palestine and clarified, "Our presence today in the company of the dear people of Tajikistan is a source of joy and happiness, but today also leaves a burning sensation in the hearts of all the Muslim and conscientious people of the world. We cannot ignore the issue of Palestine, Palestine is our issue and the issue of the Islamic world and humanity".
Dr Raisi emphasised the need to immediately stop the attacks on the dear people of Gaza and end the genocide and infanticide in this land, saying, "4 thousand children, and in general, over 10 thousand innocent and oppressed people of Palestine have been martyred by the Zionist Regime and the support of Americans and Westerners in this region".
